New Name, New Look, New Site

I am SO excited to share our big news with you! I have been thinking of doing this for quite awhile, and with my contract coming up on the current web site the timing just felt right!

First off, the new name.... Are you ready for it? Wight House Gifts will now be known as.......insert anticipation here......

FONTAHOLIC!
Font meaning... well, you all know what a font is. Please tell me know all know what a font is. :) and aholic being "one who exhibits an obsessive need for or interest in (something specified) " Put the two together and you pretty much have me.

Not only does the name of the site fit me pretty well, but it is also MUCH easier to spell then Wight (pronounced like white) . Not that Wight is particularly hard to spell, but everyone always wants to say wRight. It's so confusing that just a few weeks ago my 5 year old told me his name was white just like the color. I had no idea he was so confused about his own name. :)

Sorry for the super long explanation, I tend to get sidetracked when I am telling a story!

Well, I guess now we just have to unveil the new look and the new site.. So, here it is, still a work in progress, but I am hoping to have lots of new and fabulous designs on there in the coming weeks.

Custom Order

I am so excited about this custom order!! This nursery was so much fun to work on, and since we were able to install everything we were able to see how everything worked together. See that amazing quilt? This super talented lady designed the quilt and her mom made it for her!! Oh, and the scallops on the wall... yeah she did that too! And the tree, oh the tree. I L.O.V.E this tree!!! I mean LOVE it! So much in fact that I have already used it to make something for my own house. I will share that with you a little bit later. Oh, and did I mention how much I love this tree?!

{Family Rules Board}

While checking out one of my new FAVORITE SITES (seriously you have GOT to check her out!) I came across something that I just had to have. I mean I just had to have it in a way that I started working on it right away, kind of had to have. She used a canvas to make hers, but since I didn't have a canvas, but I did have plenty of these old windows I pulled one of these beauties out. Next, I raided my scrap booking paper stash and went to work. And of course I used the vinyl lettering for all of our rules. I LOVE the way it turned out!! It adds the little bit of color that my kitchen so desperately needed. And maybe, just maybe, my boys will follow the rules. :)

Window Frame Calendar

This was a custom order item, and I have to say that it is my favorite window calendar to date. The customer/friends is super creative, and it was so much fun to see her ideas come to life!
